Supporters and Partners
New Leaders aims to build strong relationships with corporations and foundations to help increase awareness of our organization and its goals to further our mission. Partnerships are central to our mission. We bring together individuals and organizations devoted to improving urban schools through effective leadership. Our advisors and individual thought partners include teachers, principals, academics, and business leaders. Our organizational partners include urban school districts, foundations and venture philanthropy funds, school reform organizations, technology firms, charter school organizations, and universities.

In early 2005, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation became New Leaders' largest funder. The foundation's generous contribution is focused solely on recruiting and training leaders for small secondary schools. This support helped New Leaders achieve just over 50 percent of its fundraising goal to create a 550 person national urban principal corps serving 250,000 students.
