While all applicants must meet our rigorous Selection Criteria,
there are minimum application requirements that vary by program
city. All applicants must possess instructional expertise
in a K-12 classroom setting. Our New Leaders have between
2 to 25 years of classroom experience. New Leaders for New
Schools’ applicants should have a minimum of 2 to 3
years of successful full-time experience teaching in a K-12
classroom, preferably a teaching certificate, and experience
working with and leading adults. In some of our program locations,
candidates who are not certified as teachers may still be
eligible for entry to the New Leaders program and principal
certification.
Please read below for specific program site requirements beyond Selection Criteria.
